Solid and Better Quality

Content from a few professionals is now a trend on YouTube. One example is the professional architects and engineers who create content about the basics of How to plan for your future house, budgeting, tips and lessons for aspiring architects and engineers, and a lot more.

If you’re not familiar with construction terms, they explain it in the simplest way or layman’s terms.

One of the things that struck me the most are what materials you must remember, who are the people---specifically professionals--should be approached for a quality, cozy, yet affordable house, and the importance of having a solid foundation in your home.

Of course, in our lives, we must also have it!
Wait, what?! Materials? Professional people? Foundation?
Yes, you read it right.

Materials. For us to have a deeper relationship and spiritual growth in Christ, one must maximize the materials we can use to help us in this journey.

Bible (hardcopy or even a digital copy on your gadgets), devotion book, devotion notebook, subscriptions to daily words and devotions, videos or podcasts of Sunday Mass, CDs, DVDs, or playlist of your favorite praise and worship songs, and the list goes on. Whatever you have right now, use it.

Next, Professionals. We don’t need the word “professional”, cause as long as the person has a good influence and will surely help you with your spiritual growth, you can always try to approach and ask them. I’m sure they are more than happy and willing to guide you to know God better.

Lastly, Foundation. Who else should be our foundation in this chaotic world?
As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:11 "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Let us not just simply listen or read His words, we must live with Them. If God and His words are the foundation of your life, then what storm, earthquake, or chaos can and will destroy you?

If our houses need trustworthy professionals, the best quality materials, and solid foundations, how much more our lives are more important than anything else?

If our houses have professional engineers and architects, the best quality materials, and a solid

foundation. Our lives have Godly mentors, high-quality Christian materials, and of course, the best foundation from God’s Word for us to become better and solid disciples of Jesus Christ.

Application:

These are your assignments (not to me) but to God:

1. Read, watch, or listen to any materials that you have which will lead you closer to God.

2. Try to seek your pastor’s, elder’s, group leader’s, or any church member’s advice whenever you’re having a problem.

3. Make God’s word the foundation of your household and in your life. Solid!
