From the very beginning, God gave us twenty-four hours in a day to do all the things we need to be done, but most of us make a day as twenty-five or thirty hours in a day by maximizing so much and draining our own energy doing a lot and extra work.Full time, part time, and extra time
We feel like it’s not enough to have just one activity in a day, we just don’t like wasting our time.

“Time is gold” is what they say
Night and day, we need to work, work and work and that turns out, taking a rest is forbidden.
REST IS A GIFT FROM GOD
"By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” Genesis 2:2-3

Don’t you know that even our God takes his rest after he created the world?
It is true that we need to maximize, value and misuse our time, because time is gold and we can’t ever go back to the time that just passed by. Believe it or not, it’s not a mistake to have just twenty-four hours, not twenty-five or thirty, for you to finish all your activities for a day, note that
“FOR a day” not “WITHIN a day”. But don’t you know the fact that part of our blessed twenty-four hours in a day is to have time for REST. Yes, we need and we must have time for REST. It is not actually a waste of time; you are actually doing a good job.
Let us set an example, our cellular phones to ourselves. Every morning, most of us charge our phone and hit the 100% or full battery charge since we know that our phones will work for us in a whole day, but some phones, around lunch time, are already drained in 15% and that means that we need to recharge it. Do you see the similarity? Even our phones need time to recharge, just like us. Being recharge or having a rest is not a waste of time; it is actually part of your progress.
SOMETIMES, MAKING PROGRESS MEANS TAKING REST DAYS (unknown)
It is actually hard for us to be fully organized and think calmly when our minds are fully occupied by random matters, we can’t figure out what’s important and not, what's urgent and not, what’s the top most prior to the least one. It is because we are too busy thinking, thinking and thinking.
We believe that once we think, we did not waste our time, but actually, you are wasting your time thinking randomly. Afterwards, you might say that you are stressed.
The best way for you is to KEEP CALM, RELAX AND TAKE A REST. It is truly believed that once a person is calm, relaxed and gets his rest, he is more capable to answer and do his job well. You won’t feel the weight of your job much because you are recharged. You did hit your hundred percent of your battery again.
LIFE IS PEACEFUL WHEN YOU REST ON THE PROMISES OF GOD’S WORD
In this world, you will find trouble, hatred, and stress but in God’s very presence, peace is what you’ll receive. Try this, talk to God in prayers, let God speak to you through the bible and let Him work the day for you. Once you do this, you will find yourself resting in His hands.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

BIBLE VERSES ABOUT REST
Scripture is filled with God's promises to provide rest when we seek Him. God is an endless source of peace and strength and He created us to need Him! The following Bible verse will inspire you to slow down and find rest, even if for a moment in God's presence.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will give rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
~Matthew 11:28-30
Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.
~Mark 6:31
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest.
~Hebrews 4:9-11
“Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds will follow them.”
~Revelation 14:13
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
~Isaiah 40:29-31
Thus says the LORD:”Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.
~Jeremiah 6:16
On the day the LORD gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, 4 you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!
~Isaiah 14:3-4
